As Communications Director for the American Gas Association (AGA), Kristin Schrader Marcell is responsible for planning and implementing communications strategies to promote natural gas and its applications to stakeholders including media, industry leaders, policy makers and consumers.
Prior to joining AGA, Schrader Marcell was Communications Director of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, where she served as the official spokesperson and directed the Agency’s communications program. In this position, Schrader Marcell managed communications strategies for the high-profile cross-border trucking demonstration project, as well as providing crisis communications counsel to the Agency.
Previously, Schrader Marcell worked on natural resources issues as the Political Director for the Partnership for America and as the Director of External Affairs for the U.S. House Committee on Resources. In this role, Schrader Marcell acted as a liaison to outside groups for the committee as well as helping to promote former Chairman Richard Pombo’s (R-CA) policy agenda nationally to stakeholders, companies and natural resources organizations.
Schrader Marcell was also General Electric’s Political Action Committee Manager in their Washington, DC corporate office and served as a legislative staffer for former U.S Representative John T. Doolittle (R-CA).
A native of Pennsylvania, Kristin Schrader holds a Masters in Public Policy from the George Washington University and a Bachelor in Arts in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University.
